Express laundry in Mumbai: when a day makes the difference
Express delivery turns laundry and dry cleaning around in 24 hours instead of 48. What it costs, when it is worth it, and what cannot be rushed.

Most laundry is not urgent. You send it, it comes back in a couple of days, and the couple of days never mattered. Then there is the flight on Thursday, the interview on Friday, the wedding you were invited to yesterday — and suddenly forty-eight hours is forty-eight hours too many.
Express delivery is now an option on every order we can honestly meet: your items come back within 24 hours of pickup instead of the usual turnaround.
How it works
- Build your basket as normal and pick a pickup slot.
- If express is available for what is in your basket, the option appears in the order summary with its price and the new turnaround.
- Tick it, and the promise on your order changes to the faster date.
The surcharge is a share of the order value, so rushing four shirts costs less than rushing forty, with a small minimum because even one garment displaces a slot in the day's run.
Why it is sometimes not offered
You will not always see the option, and that is deliberate rather than a fault. Express is a promise about a date, and the only party who can keep it is the laundry doing the work. We only show the option when a partner facility can genuinely take everything in your basket inside the window.
The commonest reason is the basket itself. Add one item that needs a long process and the whole order inherits it — so a basket of shirts may show express while the same basket plus a lehenga does not.
What genuinely cannot be rushed
- Heavy bridal and zari work. Hand-finishing takes the time it takes, and hurrying it is how zari gets damaged.
- Restoration and serious stain work. Treatments need dwell time; a rushed stain is a stain you can still see.
- Leather and suede. Conditioning cannot be accelerated without cracking the finish.
- Curtains and heavy home textiles. Mostly a drying constraint, and an especially hard one in monsoon.
Is it worth it?
Two honest tests. First: would you otherwise buy something new to wear instead? Then express is far cheaper. Second: is the deadline real, or does it just feel urgent? If your items are not needed until the weekend, book an ordinary pickup and keep the money.
